Why are parts of my Washington University dissertation in Google? Why is my dissertation for sale in Amazon and elsewhere? How can I remove it?

ProQuest has made dissertations searchable in Google and for sale on Amazon and elsewhere.  Note that the full text does not display in Google; only limited amounts of text display unless the author has arranged for Open Access with ProQuest.  Authors choose from many options when they submit.  Sometimes you may wish to change your embargo and third-party seller choices.  If you wish to make changes for the future, please contact ProQuest directly at 1.800.521.0600 ext. 77020 or via email at disspub@proquest.com.
