Your digital research materials, or data, will be enriched using the following mechanisms:

  • Discoverability. Your research materials will be posted on an established WU Libraries repository system, a DOI will be assigned to provide a permanent link to your materials, and your research outputs will be included in larger international linked data repository systems (such as SHARE and Digital Commons).
  • Metrics/Impact. The number of downloads and citations of your research materials will be provided to you in regular intervals.
  • Documentation. Your research materials will be thoroughly documented using a well established WU curation process. This documentation will include the creation of Readme.txt files that describe the data at the collection and individual dataset level. These readme files will include documentation on data reuse rights, data collection methods, a list of publications that resulted from the data, among other contextual information.
  • Metadata development. Your research materials will have general, domain and preservation level metadata created to allow the interoperability of the research materials in various systems.
