Eleanor Roosevelt spoke at Washington University on May 4, 1954 as part of the Beaumont Lecture Series. The title of her talk was, “United Nations – Our Stronghold for Peace.”

She also spoke at Washington University on October 16, 1957 as part of the Assembly Series. This talk was entitled “America’s Responsibility for World Leadership.”

Audio of both speeches is housed at Washington University Archives, Special Collections, as part of the Office of Public Affairs, Assembly Series Lectures (WUA00063), 1949-2015.
