When deciding whether to provide access to a resource on Canvas or another course website, determine how much of a resource is really needed for a pedagogical purpose. More often than not, providing a persistent link to the material is more appropriate. Learning management systems are intended to facilitate learning in the classroom environment, not to supplement access or supplement a library course reserves system like Ares.
