In Olin Library, there are:

  • Five reservable group study rooms, all on the east side of Level 2
  • Four first-come first-served study room, one on Level 1, two on Level 2, and one on Level 3
  • Two instructional rooms--available when not in use by Libraries staff
  • Graduate study rooms with card swipe access on levels B, A, 2, and 3*
  • Faculty studies with card swipe access on the West side of Levels 2 and 3

*Graduate study rooms are available to all WashU grad students. You will need your WashU ID to swipe into the room. If you have any trouble accessing the room please contact the Circulation team at (314) 935-5420, or email at circ@wumail.wustl.edu

Level A: The Newman Exploration Center, large group areas, carrels, sleep couches, and various reading chairs

In addition to our study spaces, the Libraries offer many resources to assist students in their academic studies:

  • There are approximately 90 day-use lockers in Olin Library for use by anyone with a current Washington University ID card. Keys are available at the Circulation Help Desk on Level 1. When you check out a day locker key, the library staff member will tell you when the key is due back.

  • There are also lockers available to graduate students for long-term use.
