Authors can always choose to restrict access of their Open Scholarship submissions; however, with the exception of creative works, publishing in the Open Scholarship Repository should not create conflicts when later publishing sections of works in academic journals. Some publishers do not accept previously published works, and some do. A peer reviewed journal may have requirements that might make your work substantially different from what was previously published. Consider querying beforehand about your work having been published previously, as some publishers might be okay with just acknowledging where your work first appeared.
