Answer

Mendeley is a “freemium” citation management program. It is used to collect and organize citations as well as generate bibliographies and in-text citations.

WashU Libraries do not offer workshops for Mendeley, but this guide may help you in selecting a citation management program. The guide highlights the differences among Mendeley, End Note, and Zotero. The Libraries do offer periodic workshops on using Zotero and have a Zotero Research Guide available.
